**Glideslope for Runway 33 is out of service. The FAA is in the process of commissioning the new glideslope unit. We anticipate the glideslope to be in service soon.
***The anticipated runway overlay project for Runway 15/33 is in progress. The work around the intersections of Runway 15/33, Runway 4/22, and Taxiway F is complete.
It is anticipated that Runway 15/33 could be open full-length for operations on Sunday, April 27. HOWEVER, THIS IS WEATHER DEPENDENT. There will be no paving activities for the week of Monday, April 28th. Both runways will be available full-length.
Paving activities will resume Monday, May 5th. From May 5th at 2130 local to May 9th at 0600 local, the airport will be closed nightly from 2130 on one night until 0630 the following morning. From 0600 to 2130 each day during this period, both runways (full-length) and most taxiways (not including B, C , & D) will be available for operations. To simplify the matter, during the period between Monday morning and Friday morning, the airport is open when the Air Traffic Control Tower is open (+ or - 30 minutes). When the ATC Tower is closed, the airport is closed, roughly speaking. Runway 15/33 during this time may have areas of rough or milled pavement on the edges, but the plan is to keep the middle 90 feet of runway in an unmilled state.
Beginning Friday May 9th at 1800 local, the airport will be closed CONTINUOUSLY until Monday, May 12 at 0630 local. Of course, this information is weather dependent and may change. We anticipate that there will be a total of three weekends that the airport will be closed.
This site will be updated as needed. However, please continue to monitor NOTAM's, since that is the official status of the conditions at INT.
Please note - We can only enter NOTAM's less than 3 days in advance of conditions, and we may be forced to extend NOTAM's or issue new NOTAM's at any time. Therefore, please use this site as a planning tool while using NOTAM's for official status of current conditions at INT. For example, simply because a NOTAM indicates a runway may be open at a certain time later in a week does not mean that the runway will actually open at that time.
The information on this site is for planning purposes ONLY and should not be used in lieu of the established NOTAM system.
We apologize for any inconvenience that these essential upgrades may cause.
